Rebony – Rebony has been with the CHAPS Program since 2012. He is a 30+ year-old Arabian Gelding and our old seasoned pro. Rebony is naturally curious and loves attention. Since he is older and his teeth are not in prime condition, he is a very messy eater. After a meal he loves to have his mouth sprayed with water. Rebony is currently used for the Intro to Horses class, the Horse Care classes and EAP classes. We do not use Rebony in our Horsemanship classes due to his age.
Smoky Joe – Smoky Joe has been with CHAPS since 2012. He is considered a Grey Overo Paint Horse which means his skin color looks like an egg. Smoky is full of fun, curiosity, and energy. You can always count him to come up and say hi to you.
Dillon – Dillon is a 19 year old American Saddle Horse. His skin color is called buckskin which consists of a beautiful black base coat with a tan deerskin like top coat. He sometimes gets a little frightened if you move quickly upon first meeting him. He is a great riding horse but really likes to take his time.
Jack – Jack is Red Rabino Spotted Saddle Horse. He is a gaited horse which means he’s a smooth ride – we call him our Cadillac of horses. He has a shy personality but works very hard. Once he gets to know you, he opens up and looks forward to seeing you!
Jack has been a member of the CHAPS her since June of 2014.
Amos – Amos was added to the CHAPS herd in March of 2015. He is our Chestnut Half linger. Amos came to us ready to work and play. He is curious, a little stubborn at times but with a mischievous side. Amos is also a hard worker; he was previously owned by the Amish in Ohio where he was used for a variety of tasks. He is very well-rounded!
